We, as organizations advocating for abolition, align with the pro-life stance that deems abortion as unethical. We assert that abortion constitutes the sin of murder and should be addressed accordingly. Forgiveness is attainable through Christ for those involved in abortion, but this does not imply its legalization or diminish the imperative of establishing justice. The pivotal word here is "sin." Recognizing abortion as a sin carries significant implications for our approach in combating it. Its sinful nature underscores that the ultimate solution lies in the gospel of Jesus Christ. Throughout the Scriptures, a main theme is the inadequacy of human efforts and strategies in combating darkness. It is consistently and exclusively God, often working through His people, who triumphs over evil.
The Gospel encompasses forgiveness of sins, justification before God, and reconciliation to Him. It also goes beyond these aspects to include Jesus' life, miracles, judgement, and teachings. In 1 Corinthians, Paul discusses Christ's crucifixion, resurrection, and reign - known as the Gospel of the Kingdom. Believing and following the Gospel means adhering to Christ's teachings. Advocates of abolition promote Christ's kingdom of justice and mercy in opposition to sin and death.
Abortion is condemned as the shedding of innocent blood. Jesus, Himself, came to abolish death, and we are called to fight against this culture of death. The Gospel offers the promise of restoration and the renewal of all things. The abolition of abortion should be rooted in the Gospel and extend to wherever the curse is present.
Abortion is considered a sin, and the Church bears the duty to combat it. While those without religious beliefs can endorse fair laws, the abolition movement is rooted in faith in Christ. It is imperative for the entire body of Church, not just a select few, to raise their voices. Remaining silent in the face of such a tragedy compromises the very essence of the Church.
This is not merely a matter of personal choice but a universal obligation, as exemplified in the parable of the good Samaritan. In the present-day context, abortion is widespread, even in regions where it is technically prohibited. It is crucial to leverage our influence to expose this wrongdoing and extend support. Whether it involves presence at abortion facilities or engaging with societal norms, we must address the issue and guide individuals towards the ultimate solution - the teachings of the gospel.
The Abolitionists symbol is the AHA, which stands for Abolish Human Abortion. It is a simple symbol meant to be easy to identify with the Abolitionists movement.
The symbol does have more meaning to it than meets the eye.
In 2022, 9,529 preborn children we're murdered under the previous abortion law.
Indiana SB1 places strict restrictions on abortion in Indiana. Licences have been revoked for nearly all abortion clinics, but not health facilities. The law prohibits physicians from performing abortions in most cases, with exceptions such as rape, incest, lethal fetal abnormality diagnosis, and risks to the mother’s life or health. It also does not criminilize abortion for the mother, but sometimes for the physician.
